The Great Duck Race 2026

The Great Duck Races is a fun-filled, family-friendly fundraising event taking place on Saturday 22nd August in Bournemouth Lower Gardens, bringing together supporters of Plants and Minds and Macmillan Caring Locally for a day of entertainment, community spirit, and friendly competition. From 10:30am until 4:00pm, thousands of brightly coloured toy ducks will race down the Bourne Stream in a series of exciting races held throughout the day.

For just £2 per ticket, participants can sponsor a duck and be in with the chance of winning cash prizes of £50, £25, or £10 in each race. The event features twelve races in total, giving plenty of opportunities to join the fun and cheer on your chosen duck as it navigates the twists and turns of the stream.

In addition to the races, visitors can enjoy a range of activities and competitions suitable for all ages, including the popular “Name That Duck” competition and other family-friendly attractions.
