If you want to be able to take a natal chart and develop a profound understanding of how to track what is happening in the sky, this is the class for you!
Astrology is a unique mapping system because it is a living map that moves through time. This class series is a deep-dive into the way our ancestors perceived celestial time and integrated it into their divination practices.
It will be a contemplative, practical, and skilled inquiry into the motions of the heavenly planets and the astrology techniques that help us understand and work with the great cycles and rhythms of planetary motion. You'll learn how to know what matters, when, and why: an essential key to an empowered and creative life. This is ancient, archetypal, and applied astrology at its best.
What you'll take away from this course:
-An expanded understanding of the cycles of time through a mythopoetic lens (karma, developmental trauma, ritual & divination)
-How to identify and track what is happening in the sky
-Discernment of transits and various timing tools: what matters, when, and why
-Interpret the cycles, timing, and transits in a natal chart
-Apply more complex timing tools, including Vedic Dasha cycles, time lords, and progressions
This course is geared towards those with some existing astrological knowledge. However if you are a beginner, you may review our previous class recordings to get a foundational understanding of the planets before attending this series. Reach out via email if this is you!

What will each week focus on?
1. Courting the Non-linear: The Layers of the Mystical Spiral & Ancestral Perceptions of Time
It all starts with expanding our understanding of time. The influence of civilized linear clock-time runs deep in our perceptions, but just below the surface is a wellspring of profound and mystical ways of relating to time the way our ancestors did: divine, oracular, multilayered, cyclical and transformative.
2. The Myth Beings & Time (Part 1): The Cycles of the Inner Planets
The Moon is the great time keeper for the indigenous soul. She guides ritual, the motions of our felt-sense reality, and the rhythms of daily life. Mercury & Venus, Hermes & Aphrodite (Hermaphrodite) march to a beat of their own unique making. Never straying far from the Sun, they are our “morning & evening stars.” Together they fashion the bridge to the imaginal sensual world, braiding together the fullness of the open heart and mind.
3. The Myth Beings & Time (Part 2): The Cycles of Mars, Jupiter & Saturn
On the other side of Earth is Mars, the planet most like ours. In typical martial fashion its cycles are truly unique. And on the other side of the asteroid belt are the two gas giants we see with our naked-eyes. The cycles of Jupiter and Saturn were considered to be the 2 great celestial motions of the ancient world; together they kept the gates of history, time and social change.
4. The Myth Beings & Time (Part 3): The Cycles of the Outer Planets
With modern tools grabbing hold of our cosmology we came to understand the game-changing planets of the invisible world. Uranus, Neptune & Pluto are all beyond Saturn, all maintaining intergenerational cycles of deep transformative cultural reality. They take us into the realm of the transpersonal and collective archetypes.
5. Life’s Great Unfolding: Astrology & The Mapping of Developmental Human Timelines
Once we understand the planetary motions of the Gods we can plug these cycles of time into the natural development of a human life. This is much deeper than Saturn Returns: year after year, throughout our lives, the psychosomatic, hormonal and soulful rhythms of life unfold each person's unique development. The mystery unfurls, but it does so with celestial logic and deep pattern.
6. The Celestial Rhythms of the Gods (I): The Transits that Evolve the Soul (Saturn & the Lunar Nodes)
Learning to follow the Eclipses and Saturn through the chart are the 2 most important motions in the heavens to track. These are the motions of soul and karma, the keys that unlock our intergenerational and ancestral wounds, doorways into healing and transformation.
7. The Celestial Rhythms of the Gods (II): Retrogrades & Planetary Alignments
Excluding the Sun and Moon the other planets in our solar system routinely slow down to a halt and move backwards: this retrograde motion of the planets is one of the most important transits to track throughout the zodiac, as it facilitates the process of tuning life’s archetypal toolkit. The other great cycles to practically track are the alignments of the planets: transiting conjunctions, aspects, cazimis, all the moves that fashion the great cosmic dance.
8. The Celestial Rhythms of the Gods (III): Transits & The Waystones of the Natal Chart
When following the motions and cycles of the Gods the key is to spot how they land and connect with prior motions of time —the natal charts they contact. Each unique chart has particular waystones, hot spots and sensitive degrees and knowing how to track the celestial motions relevant to these places is the foundation of the craft.
9. Dasha Cycles, Time Lords & Progressions: Other Ways of Astrology Utilizes Time
Other than the transiting planets, their orbital cycles, and the way they interface with a chart, there are other ancient ways that astrologers keep time and predict the flow of time’s significance. Dasha cycles, time lords and progressions are among the other tools in the toolkit of celestial divination.
10. Divination, Integration & Synthesis: Reading the Map as it Unfolds Through Time
Putting it all together. Learning to systematize and focus on what timing tool is prioritized. How to effectively pick a window of time and understand what cycles, transits and moments form the cornerstones of any given transformative plot-line in the great developmental story of life.

This is not your typical astrology school. These classes are a mosaic of community offerings and teachings that weave together astrology and divination with an ancestral understanding of ethnoastronomy, myth & cultural astronomy, modern healing modalities, and most of all an embodied, animate relationship to the sky. The classes offered here will be a fusion of Indo-european and Semitic astrologies, mixed with contemporary western and archetypal astrology…and always an action-packed mythopoetics to feed your imagination.
