Film Synopsis

Born 12 days after D-Day in June of 1944, Vietnam veteran (and Lake Forest resident) FL Kirby reflects on his own experiences as a helicopter pilot in Vietnam as well as his father’s experience as a C-47 pilot that flew paratroopers into Normandy during WWII. This film gives a rare glimpse into the resilience of a veteran who has dealt with a variety of obstacles both on the battlefield and at home.
