Central Dauphin football players and cheerleaders are paired with the family of a fallen service member who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Throughout the evening, players and cheerleaders proudly represent and honor their assigned hero.
In one of the most powerful traditions of the night, the names announced over the stadium are not the names of the athletes on the field — but the names of the fallen soldiers they are playing for.
To be selected to represent a fallen hero is considered one of the greatest honors within our program.
The Gold Star Game serves as a reminder that freedom is never free, and that behind every Gold Star family is a story of courage, sacrifice, love, and legacy that deserves to be remembered forever.
We invite our community to join us as we honor our fallen heroes, support Gold Star families, and stand united in gratitude and remembrance.
