* Due to the fact that the Ballroom is located in a historic building, it is NOT equipped with an elevator. Please note that the performance is on the 2nd floor and is only accessible by stairs.

In this beautiful piece of literature, a card game is used as a metaphor for life. Weller Martin is playing solitaire on the porch of a seedy nursing home. Enter Fonsia Dorsey, a prim, self-righteous lady. They discover they both dislike the home and enjoy gin rummy, so they begin to play cards and, over time, reveal intimate details of their lives. While Weller’s pride makes him determined to win, Fonsia realizes her rigidity has led to a lonely old age.
