About this Event

The Ghost of Genomes: Past, Present and Yet to Come...

Come and join us for a Christmas lecture on genomics, where you will learn all about its history, and where its going! Delivered by our clinical scientists and genetic counsellors from the genomics team at Manchester Foundation Trust.

We're going to try and take you on a journey through time, starting with a monk and some peas in the 19th century, and why this matters to genomics. Then moving on to the exciting and novel goings on occurring in genomics in the present day that are used to guide patient care. Finally, we'll also talk a little bit about the future of genomics, where we might be going, and how this might impact your own lives at some point.

As well as being educational, this lecture should be fun and interactive, and everyone will be able to get involved, so please reserve your free ticket!
