The Gem Foundation, a registered 501(c)3, is a home and safe place for abandoned, abused, and neglected children and adults with special needs on a campus we call Gem Village located in Kakiri, Uganda. 𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐧, 𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐜.
The Gem Foundation is launching a medical clinic to provide essential healthcare services not only to the children and adults residing within Gem Village and to our Ugandan staff and their families, but also to the broader community, increasing access to quality healthcare and fostering long-term sustainability. Our goal is to establish a fully functional medical clinic that meets the ongoing healthcare needs of the surrounding communities.

Arrive by 7:30am to check in and to receive you runner number. There will be a water station at the half-way mark and snacks upon completion.
Our U.S. Executive Director, Jennifer Pfleging, will be there to cheer you on, hand out race prizes, and facilitate the booth with additional information about the work in Uganda.
