About The Gathering Gloom
Matthew Berry: Our impeccable bed headed leader. Most notably recognized as the front man of Maryland’s award winning group Classified Frequency. As well as a pivotal member in many other bands throughout the years such as: devoN Nickoles, Voices of Service, Delta Spur, LJR, Honey Extractor, Derek Evry, Judo Chop, The Fuzz, Side Fx, and more. He’s also made a name for himself as a very reliable sub with Thom Shepherd Coley McCabe, Shane Gamble, Scott Kurt, For The Win, Party Like It’s…, Uncle Jesse and tons more.
Erik Bradford: Brooding vibes abound. Erik Bradford has performed in a number of original and tribute acts. His own songwriting can be heard on Spotify: The Domesticated performed in Austin Texas from 2007 to 2011. Short Lives performed in Washington DC from 2013 to 2017. His most notable tribute bands paid homage to Soundgarden, Smashing Pumpkins, and Led Zeppelin. Erik studied jazz at James Madison University and continues to record songs at home for his SoundCloud archive.
Mike Vance: A 10+ year veteran of Baltimore music scene. Has played guitar and keys with a number of cover and original bands including Classified Frequency, Mobtown Saints, Collect All 5, Tillers Prospect, Alter Ego, Honey Extractor, and Space Taco
Matthew Everhart: Token Bass Player. Performing all over the country since 2001. Featured in such bands as Speakers of the House, Classified Frequency, Carl Filipiak and the Jimmy Jazz Band, Junkyard Saints, Cowboy Mouth 2015 Fall Tour, Platters, Crystals, Drifters, Tokens.. to name a few.
Andy Hamburger: Don’t try an Internet search on award-winning drummer Andy Hamburger unless you’ve got a lot of time. Andy’s one of the busiest working drummers in the Mid-Atlantic region. Andy has covered an amazingly wide range of musical styles for more than 20 years. He has credits on several dozen albums, and well over a hundred local and national commercials and movie trailers. Andy’s performed or recorded with Lloyd Price, Larry Carlton, The Temptations, Harold Melvin’s BlueNotes, The Drifters, Chick Willis, The Ink Spots, The Tokens, The Crystals, The Coasters, The Platters, The Marvelettes, Tim Eyerman, Cruel Shoes(John Palumbo), as well as Patty Reese, Holly Montgomery, Classified Frequency, and hundreds more we're sure.
