LUXURY MEETS PURPOSE IN AN ELEGANT EVENING SUPPORTING METRO DETROIT FAMILIES IN NEED
About this Event

The Detroit Auto Show today announced a new charitable partnership with Forgotten Harvest, a leading Metro Detroit nonprofit that rescues surplus food and distributes it to families facing food insecurity. The collaboration will debut at The Gallery—the Detroit Auto Show’s signature luxury automotive experience—on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.

This exclusive evening event, hosted at a premier showcase area of the Detroit Auto Show, will feature over 50 ultra-luxury and performance vehicles from globally renowned brands such as Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, and Rolls-Royce.

The Gallery will kick off two weeks of Detroit Auto Show programming, serving as the opening celebration for a lineup of industry and media events, public showcases, product reveals, and immersive experiences in the heart of the Motor City.

“This year’s Gallery is more than a showcase of incredible vehicles—it’s a statement about our values,” said Sam Klemet, Executive Director of the Detroit Auto Dealers Association and Detroit Auto Show. “By partnering with Forgotten Harvest, we’re turning one of our most elegant nights into one of our most meaningful. It’s the start of a new chapter for the show, where luxury and community impact go hand in hand.”

Each ticket sold for The Gallery will help Forgotten Harvest provide thousands of meals to families across Southeast Michigan, reinforcing the Detroit Auto Show’s broader commitment to being a community steward.

Todd Szott, Chairman of the Detroit Auto Show and President of Szott Auto Group, emphasized the event’s dual purpose. “The Gallery has always been a premier event on the Auto Show calendar. What makes this year special is that attendees will walk away knowing their presence helped fuel something far greater—supporting families in our community. It’s an opportunity for our industry to lead with heart.”

Adrian Lewis, Chief Executive Officer at Forgotten Harvest, expressed deep appreciation for the collaboration. “We’re honored to partner with the Detroit Auto Show for this exciting and impactful event. The support from The Gallery will directly help us deliver fresh, nutritious meals to those who need it most, while also shining a spotlight on the ongoing issue of food insecurity in our region.”

The partnership with Forgotten Harvest reflects a growing movement within the Detroit Auto Show to align its platforms with purpose—using the influence of the automotive industry to create lasting impact in the community it calls home.

The new initiative complements one of Detroit’s most iconic philanthropic traditions: Charity Preview, returning Friday, January 16, which supports six local children’s charities, including Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan, The Children’s Center, The Children’s Foundation, Detroit Auto Dealers Association Charitable Foundation Fund (a fund of the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan), Detroit PAL, and the University of Michigan Health C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital. As one of the most anticipated nights in the city, Charity Preview has raised more than $125 million to date, helping improve the lives of countless young people across Southeast Michigan.
