The Future of Work: Humans + AI Agents
About this Event
AI Agents at Work: From Hype to Real Business Impact
AI is moving beyond chatbots.
A new generation of AI agents can take on increasingly complete business workflows, from conducting research and coordinating tasks to supporting customers, driving sales processes, analyzing information, and even building software.
But what actually works today? Where are businesses seeing real value? What happens when these systems fail? And what does all of this mean for the people and organizations adopting them?
Join Ventech for a candid conversation about AI agents and the future of business, grounded in real-world experience rather than speculation.
We’ll explore what companies are building and deploying now, lessons from successes and failures, and how increasingly capable AI systems could reshape operations, talent, leadership, and the way work gets done.
What We’ll Explore
- What AI agents can actually do today
- Where businesses are seeing measurable value
- What companies are learning from real-world implementation
- Where AI agents succeed, and where they still fall short
- How AI could change roles, teams, and organizational structures
- What leaders should be thinking about as these systems become more capable
Featuring
Josh Narva — Partner, Riviera Partners
Josh advises technology companies on talent and organizational strategy. Before joining Riviera Partners, he served as a Talent Advisor in Google’s Office of the CEO. Previously, as Global Head of Talent at Sonos, he helped grow the company to more than 1,700 employees and through its IPO. Earlier in his career, Josh was among the first 10 employees at two companies incubated inside Sequoia Capital.
Josh brings a unique perspective on AI, talent, organizational design, and what happens to the workforce as technology becomes capable of doing more of the work itself.
Diana Pereira — CEO & Founder, Balance Financial Management
Diana brings more than 25 years of financial and operational leadership spanning private equity, M&A, wealth management, government, nonprofits, and technology.
Today, she is building internal AI development capabilities to create systems for clients, giving her a firsthand view into the opportunities and realities of moving AI from experimentation into actual business operations.
Diana brings the perspective of a leader asking: What can we actually build with this technology? Where does it create measurable value? And what does successful implementation really require?
Moderated by
Mike Wald — Board Member, Ventech & Founder, Coastal Intelligence
Mike Wald is a technologist, strategist, and founder of Coastal Intelligence, an AI consultancy helping organizations move from AI experimentation to practical adoption.
With more than 20 years working at the intersection of technology, business, marketing, and organizational change, Mike works with executives and teams to understand how AI is changing not just the tools we use, but how companies operate, how people work, and what leaders need to do next.
Together, Josh, Diana, and Mike will cut through the hype to examine what AI agents can really do today, what we’re learning as businesses put them to work, and where this rapidly evolving technology may take us next.
Whether you’re already experimenting with AI inside your organization or trying to understand where to begin, this conversation will offer a practical look at what’s happening now and what may be coming next.
Come for the AI. Leave with a clearer picture of what’s actually possible and what your business should be thinking about next.
