About this Event
This interactive session brings together Forum participants and members of the IIPP community — MPA students, PhD researchers and alumni — to share how mission-oriented and market-shaping ideas are being explored in research, policy and practice across different parts of the world.
Following the networking lunch and poster exhibition, the session will take the form of a dynamic fishbowl discussion, where participants rotate on stage, reflecting on their work and experiences. We will begin with the question of agendas: As a community of researchers, learners, and practitioners interested in the state’s role in transformation, what do we know? And what questions do we still need to ask?
By bringing together emerging scholars and practitioners working across diverse contexts, the session offers insight into the opportunities and constraints faced when attempting to rethink the role of the state and shape economies that deliver public value.
