About this Event

Please join us Saturday Nov 7th at 9 AM for The Future of Agriculture in Southeast Colorado Conference!

9 AM - 1 PM, Hilton Garden Inn, 201 Americana Road

Join us for an amazing group of local and regional speakers and hot topics, plus be part of the discussion on what YOUR vision is for the future of agriculture in our region! Free lunch included!

Agricultural producers face a host of challenges in today's world, including navigating new technology and navigating transport and pricing to sell products to far away customers. At the same time, our rural urban hubs often feel like 'food deserts' and have a growing number of tech savvy community members looking for meaningful work. An increasing number of urban community members also have a strong interest in buying and eating locally grown food and goods.

What is YOUR dream vision for the future of agriculture in Southeast Colorado?

What's working, what's not working, what do we need to be doing better, what do we need to be doing differently - to best support agricultural production in our region?

Where are the opportunities to build stronger and more meaningful win-win connections between our agricultural producers and our local urban consumers?

What are new facets of our 'agricultural identity' that could be developed for economic benefit and tourism (e.g. along the lines of Palisade Peaches, Pueblo Chiles)? What grows really well here that we could revive and/or expand upon?

What are historical connections between our producers and our towns that USED TO EXIST that could be built back up in a modern context?

Come join the conversation and be a part of designing our future!
