About this Event
We’d like to invite you to The Fresno Bee Fishing Expo — a live, in-person event where you can hear from experts and learn more about the sport you love.
This free, in-person event will be Saturday, Nov. 9, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 700 Van Ness Ave. in Fresno. Display booths will be available for viewing at 9 a.m. Programming starts at 10 a.m.
Our experts are:
- Byron Stickler - How to catch brown trout. He caught a trophy sized 33-inch18 pound 4 oz brown trout at Shaver Lake this year.
- Dick Nichols - Shaver Lake kokanee tips and lake bottom topography. Nichols is a longtime fishing guide and owner of Dick’s Mountain Tackle.
- Jim Tartaglia and Brian Klassen - Successful Pine Flat king salmon tactics. Both men are well-known anglers.
- Roger George - Basic downrigging for stripers, trophy striper tips and strategies. George holds the striper record at Millerton Lake.
