This sound journey serves as a collective immersion into the restorative power of repetition and resonance. Led by Jonathan Lambert and Rachel Stevens, this event creates a dedicated space for presence, remembrance, and the cultivation of quiet joy through the intersection of vocal mantra and specialized frequency work.
Jonathan Lambert brings a background as a certified death-doula, legacy filmmaker, and kirtan facilitator. His work is deeply rooted in addressing the loneliness epidemic across Western New York by fostering meaningful community gatherings. Drawing on the communal spirit of his background in the DIY metal scene, Jonathan facilitates chants for universal peace, using the voice as a tool for connection and collective healing.
Complementing the vocal mantras, Rachel provides a foundational layer of sound using crystal singing bowls. These instruments produce supportive tones designed to anchor the body and stabilize the nervous system, creating a calm and resonant environment that allows participants to settle deeply into the experience.
A unique feature of this event is the integration of vibroacoustic technology. Participants will rest in specialized sound beds or loungers vibrating at a consistent 40 Hertz. This specific frequency is utilized to encourage physiological relaxation, calm the nervous system, and facilitate an open-hearted state of being.
This is an invitation to be carried by sound. Participants are welcome to sing, hum, listen, or remain in silence. No prior experience with kirtan or sound healing is required; the only requirement is a willingness to engage with the medicine of vibration.
