Vivaldi's iconic arranged for cello ensemble by Emilio Colón!
Antonio Vivaldi’s iconic masterpiece receives a bold new voice in a world-premiere arrangement for solo cello, cello quartet, double bass, and harpsichord by Emilio Colón — Puerto Rican cellist, Professor at Indiana University, and Founder & Director of the International Chamber Orchestra of Puerto Rico (ICOPR).
Presented through a dynamic collaboration between the International Chamber Orchestra of Puerto Rico (ICOPR) and the American Cello Institute (ACI), this performance brings together an international roster of distinguished artists:
Emilio Colón (Puerto Rico),cello – Professor at Indiana University; Founder & Director, ICOPR; President, ACI
Cara Elise Colón (USA), cello – Co-Director, ICOPR; Vice President, ACI
Sonja Kraus (Germany), cello – Associate Professor at the University of South Dakota; ICOPR
Kevin Flynn (USA), cello – Visiting Assistant Professor at Oklahoma State University; ICOPR
John Yang (USA), cello – ICOPR
Tiffany Kung (Taiwan), bass – Evansville Philharmonic; ICOPR
Nicole Santos (USA), harpsichord – University of South Dakota
This project reflects a meaningful academic and artistic partnership, uniting faculty and performers from Puerto Rico, the United States, Germany, and Taiwan in a shared commitment to excellence, free access to the arts, education, and cross-cultural collaboration.
