Join Green Philly for a construction-site tour to see how Passive House strategies, including a high-performance building envelope, advanced air sealing and insulation, and rooftop solar, come together to reduce energy use.
Designed to pursue PHIUS certification, Passive George is projected to produce enough solar energy to offset 100% of its annual energy demand. You’ll learn what makes Passive House design different, how these strategies can create more comfortable and resilient homes, and what this project could teach us about the future of sustainable housing in Philly.
Hosted by Green Philly, learn from architect Jeremy Avellino of Bright Common and Deborah Solo and Alejandro Franqui of Solo Real Estate, general contractor Anthony Giacobbe of Red Oak Construction and the project manager and PHIUS verifier, Neil Goldman.
