The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd - Jacksonville, Florida | Jacksonville, FL
Our guest is Dr. Sonya S. Cronin, a lecturer at Florida State University who has taught Old Testament thirty times over the course of a decade. Dr. Cronin currently teaches for FSU’s International Programs in London and Florence. She is author of Raymond Brown, “the Jews,” and the Gospel of John (Bloomsbury, 2014), and the recently released, Repentance of YHWH: Mark’s Gospel of Universal Inclusion (July 2025, Fortress Press). She is the founder of The Carrier Pigeon Post, a non profit periodical that sends hope and humanities education into prisons.
Together we’ll explore the themes of mercy and justice in the Old Testament, and how those themes remain relevant in our current lives and climate.
This evening of relevant and insightful conversation is one you won’t want to miss!
