🐴 Their story began in the bush. It ended on the battlefield.
The Forgotten Horses of Fraser (K'gari) comes to the big screen — a locally produced short film narrated by a horse who went to war.
The film uncovers the little-known story of the Fraser Island remounts — tough, sure-footed horses rounded up by local stockmen, trained for military service, and shipped overseas to support Australia's mounted troops serve in some of the harshest theatres of war. Produced entirely on the Fraser Coast, the film shines a spotlight on a chapter of local and military history that has rarely been told on screen.
