Aging is the one journey we all share, yet humans alone seem to ponder its joys and challenges. With humor and heart, The Folly of Aging invites you to celebrate this universal experience.
Poets and playwrights have long grappled with the realities of growing older. Dylan Thomas famously urged us to fight against time’s advance:
"Do not go gentle into that good night.
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light."
Meanwhile, Shakespeare’s Macbeth offered a more somber perspective:
"Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow
Creeps in this petty pace from day to day,
To the last syllable of recorded time…
Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage
And then is heard no more."
