The Flip Phones are an indie acoustic-driven rock band from Arlington, Va. They blend modern musical stylings with classical inspiration to create quirky songs with catchy melodies and well-crafted lyrics. Music by The Flip Phones challenges listeners to ponder little moments and big questions.
The Flip Phones' debut album, Better in the Dark, was a 2022 WAMMIE award finalist for best rock album. It draws on the melodica stylings of Gorillaz and the songwriting of Neko Case, with a twist of lyrical luminaries The Decemberists.
“It’s a Sign,” released in December 2024, is the lead single from the band's upcoming EP — Spinning Adrift — which launches in April 2025.
