SAME SEX and MIXED PAIRS
Following the success of ‘Grit Race’, The Fittest series is hosting the first of its 'Hybrid Games'. This event will test both Strength and Conditioning across three disciplines - Max weight (kg), Max Distance (m) and Max Kcals - consecutively.
This event will be in start wave format, with also a designated finish time.
The event will run as follows:
Test 1 - LIFT - (Max Weight Kg) - 7.5min blocks/2.5mins rest (30mins) - Teammates to each establish max weight possible in each lift, for the given rep range
0-7.5min 5RM Deadlift
7.5-10min Rest
10-17.5min 3RM Bench Press
17.5-20min Rest
20-27.5min 1RM Back Squat
27.5-30min Rest
*each teammates top set achieved for each lift will be combined for a total weight (kg) score. NOTE - were playing with the idea of strength to weight ratio being equated for.
Test 2 - SHIFT - (Max Distance M) - 8min blocks/2mins rest (40mins) - teammates to achieve as much distance as possible, YGIG, for each given task
30-38min - Max Distance Skill Mill
38-40min Rest
40-48min - Max Distance Sled push/Reverse Prowler (150/100)
48-50min - Rest
50-58min - Max Distance Rogue Echo Bike
58-60min - Rest
60-68min - Max Distance SandBag Carry (50/30)
68-70min - Rest
**distances achieved within each task will be combined for a total distance (m) score
Test 3 - Killa-cals - (Max Kcals) - 8min blocks/2mins rest/30mins - teammates to achieve as many kcal's as possible, YGIG, across three 8min blocks
70-78min - Max Kcal SkiErg
78-80min - Rest
80-88min - Max kcal BikeErg
88-90min - Rest
90-98min - Max Kcal RowErg
***Kcals achieved across all three Ergs will be combined for a total kcal score
Each of the tests are essentially scored ,and placed, separately. To which the podium will be based on placings across the three tests.
SAME SEX and MIXED PAIRS will be divided into age groups.
Some elements of the event may be subject to change, but the above format will be for the most part the general gist.
