Bridging Cultures and Enriching Communities
The Hong Kong Festival Celebration Committee invites the visitors and residents of Honolulu to enjoy a fabulous month of Hong Kong culture and heritage celebrating the 30th anniversary of Hong Kong Business Association of Hawaii established in the State of Hawaii.
The first Honolulu Hong Kong-festival is sponsored by Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in San Francisco and organized by the Hong Kong Business Association of Hawaii, and with the support of the Mayor’s Office of City and County of Honolulu, plus co-partnered with many local organizations and promise to be one of the area’s many outstanding community events in 2026.
The First Honolulu-Hong Kong Festival 2026 is an exciting event that invites everyone to immerse themselves in the vibrant culture, culinary delights, and rich heritage of Hong Kong. Spanning from January 31 to March 1, the festival features an array of activities designed to foster unity, cultural exchange, and community harmony.
Festival Highlights

- Temple Street Night Market at FSM (Jan 31) - Free Event
- Discover HK Milk Tea Heritage at Jade Dynasty (Feb 1)
- HK At Your Doorstep: Eat Your Way Month at participating restaurants in Honolulu and Chinatown (Feb 1–28)
- HK Traditional Lifestyle Tour in Chinatown (Sundays, Feb 1, 8, 15, 22)
- Export Day, Trade Fair, Expert Talks, and Networking at FTZ-9 (Feb 27)
- HKBAH’s 30th Anniversary & Spring Gala at Waialae Country Club (Mar 1)
Here are what you’ll expect at the kick-off event: Temple St. Night Market - Free admission.
When the sun goes down, a traditional eye-dotting ceremony brings lions to life, an authentic Hong Kong street bazaar offering traditional Chinese gifts and crafts, the opera singers and fortune teller begins to emerge. With non-stop live entertainment, including kung-fu, tai chi, cheongsam show and HK-pop music, HK milk tea demonstration, and an array of flavors to enjoy at the food stalls. It is a wonderful way to experience Hong Kong culture. Stick around and join the fun!
