Sophie Daniels, Professor of Songwriting and Head of School: Performance and Creation at ICMP says "At ICMP we are extremely proud that our Music Business and Songwriting Programme, both Under Graduate and Post Graduate, have an equal gender balance. Equally we are committed to doing all we can to helping the wider music industry move to a future point where gender balance is common place. Meantime, women already in leadership roles need championing, networking and support, and The F List toolkit is a brilliant initiative that we are delighted to host the launch of on June 10th".

The F-List for Music is the only comprehensive directory of current UK women and gender diverse musicians in all genres. It contains the profiles of over 4K individual musicians, 1.5K bands with women in them and 300 music companies highlighting the women on their rosters. It is aimed at event and festival bookers and music commissioners in order that they can find more women and gender diverse musicians to play on their stages and writers to commission works. The F-List is also a social enterprise Community Interest Company in order that it helps UK women and gender diverse musicians overcome structural barriers by facilitating training and profile and professional opportunities.
