Saxophonist Evan Gidley returns to Caffe Vivace with an all-star lineup of CCM graduates including Alex Nicodemus, piano; Mason Daugherty, bass; and Alex Merk, drumset. An emerging artist in the Cincinnati music scene, Evan can regularly be heard performing at Schwartz’s Point Jazz Club, Juniper’s, and other local venues with his jazz quartet or at Caffe Vivace as a substitute in the Blue Wisp Big Band. Tonight, join the ensemble for "Passion Dance", a tribute to the music of McCoy Tyner and Joe Henderson.Evan holds a Master of Music in Saxophone Performance from the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Music in Music Performance from Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne. His previous teachers include James Bunte, Rick VanMatre, Nathan Nabb, Farrell Vernon, and the late James Ator.
A $15 drink/food minimum is charged per person in the party, per set, if the total for beverages purchased by the party does not meet the minimum.
