Presented by the Jonathan B. Murray Center for Documentary Journalism. Academy Award nominated documentarian Joshua Oppenheimer (The Act of Killing, The Look of Silence) makes his fiction feature debut in The End, a post-apocalyptic musical. 25 years after an environmental collapse leaves the world inhospitable, a wealthy family (Michael Shannon, Tilda Swinton, George McKay) live underground in a palatial bunker ignoring all possible existence outside of the bunker. When a stranger from aboveground (Moses Ingram) suddenly appears, the family’s idyllic existence begins to crumble.
This screening will be followed by a moderated Q&A with director Joshua Oppenheimer.
