Rock’n roll without compromises!
Hailing from Helsinki, Finland, The Empire Strikes is a five piece rock group, completely dedicated to ambitious songwriting and delivering energetic, sweaty live shows since 2012.
The Empire Strikes has toured all the way from the Baltics and cold Nordics to the heat of Iberia and central European metropolises. This far hundreds of shows in at least 71 different cities and sold out venues from Helsinki to Bilbao. Headlining on the road or providing support in Finland for such household names as Royal Republic, The Nomads, Dirty Honey, Michael Monroe, Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons and The Flaming Sideburns just to name a few.
The Empire Strikes latest album “Vol. 5” was released via Ghost Highway Records in November 2025. This time band took a different angle to approach the album than ever before. Instead of first composing the album and then booking the studio, this time the band booked studio first and trust that the album would be completed in few months. This time The Empire Strikes wanted also keep the album as simple as possible and recorded the bands live playing just as it is at gigs. “Vol. 5.” is collection of parts of all four previous The Empire Strikes albums. Still “Vol. 5” is an album that does not bow pictures and does not respect any genre boundaries and The Empire Strikes proudly signs.
With the new album The Empire Strikes is eager, anxious and hungry to spread a truckload of new Scandinavian Rock’n’Roll anywhere where it needs to be heard i.e. everywhere!
