THE ELLIS DISCO SERIES PRESENTS: DARK DISCO
About this Event
There’s a certain kind of night that doesn’t belong to any one era.
It feels pulled from late-70s New York, early-80s underground clubs, and something slightly ahead of its time.
Dark Disco lives there.
For one night, The Ellis becomes a space where post-punk, new wave, darkwave, disco, industrial, synth pop, and raw club energy all sit in the same room. Nothing polished into one direction. Just music that knows how to move people.
Headlining the evening is Lulu Lewis, bringing a sound that exists somewhere between beauty and tension. Post-punk at its spine, disco in its pulse, and a distinctly New York edge that makes every track feel cinematic without trying too hard. They don’t fit neatly into a category, and that’s exactly the point.
The night continues with Midna Mayhem, whose sets draw from the darker corners of alternative dance culture. Expect post-punk classics, industrial rhythms, darkwave grooves, goth anthems, and unexpected turns designed for crowded dance floors and late hours.
This is a night built for movement. For people who like their dance music with a little grit in it. A little emotion too.
Inside The Ellis, light moves across historic architecture while sound fills rooms that were never meant to stay quiet.
This isn’t a throwback night.
It isn’t a theme party.
It’s just a good place to be when the music gets strange and the room feels alive.
