the eighth annual AFROBEATS AT THE LAKE festival!
The biggest outdoor celebration of afrobeats in Northern California is back, featuring over a dozen performers across 2 stages, alongside 40+ vendors in our vendor village.

ABOUT JULS:
Julian Nii Ayitey Adjin Nicco-Annan known professionally as Juls or Juls Baby, is a celebrated British-Ghanaian record producer, DJ, and songwriter. Widely recognized for pioneering the modern Afrobeats and "Palmwine Rhythm" sounds. He's produced music for some of the biggest acts in Afro Pop music, including Burna Boy, Wizkid, Masego, Mr Eazi, just to name a few. He's also produced for Lauryn Hill, GoldLink, Tyler the Creator, and more.

FAQs
- This is an all ages, family friendly event. There will be a kids play area + a designated area dedicated to physical activities for kids hosted by AfroFit.
- Parking around the event is mostly metered. We strongly advise ubering or using public transportation if possible. The closest BART stations are 19th Street or Lake Merritt.
- Food and Beverages will be available for purchase in our food court area. We also have a specialty spirits cocktail bar hosted by Cafe Colucci.
- It tends to get chilly as the sun hides behind the surrounding buildings, so make sure to bring some warm clothes.
