To wrap up our season, we love to invite a special guest to join us in performing some quintets! 2025-26 will be our 4th season inviting a friend to perform with us, and this year we are thrilled to welcome guitarist Adam Cicchillitti!
Adam Cicchillitti is a JUNO-nominated guitarist from Montreal, praised by Classical Guitar Magazine as “a virtuoso at the top of his game.” He performs regularly as a soloist and chamber musician, appearing with ensembles such as the Orchestre classique de Montréal, and has toured extensively across North America and Europe. His recordings on Analekta, ATMA Classique, and Leaf Music have received critical acclaim, including a JUNO nomination for Classical Recording of the Year and an East Coast Music Award for Focus.
Adam has earned second and third prizes at the International Ensemble Competition of the Guitar Foundation of America, won the Canimex Concerto Competition, and been a finalist and multiple prizewinner in numerous national and international competitions. Alongside his performing career, he is deeply committed to expanding the guitar repertoire, having commissioned over 30 new works for solo, duo, and chamber guitar since 2019. He holds a doctorate from McGill University and teaches at Mount Allison University.
