Join us at Wallington Village Hall to learn more about these fascinating creatures and how you could help them.Hampshire is a hotspot for herpetofauna, being home to the majority of the UK's reptile and amphibian species. The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Amphibian and Reptile Group (HIWARG) is one of the most active branches of ARG UK in terms of species recording, liaison with landowners, public outreach and number of members. Joining HIWARG as a member provides the opportunity for anyone (no matter how experienced) to become a trained surveyor and contribute to recording, which is vital to the conservation of these rapidly declining animals. HIWARG member and former HIWARG committee member, Josh Phangurha, will talk through the fascinating ecology of Hampshire's Lizards, Snakes, Frogs, Toads and Newts while describing the process of how members of the public can get involved with their conservation and learn more about these amazing creatures.
