A true American music legend comes to The River Room with a powerhouse seven-piece band and full horn section. Duke Robillard—guitarist, singer, songwriter, producer, and co-founder of the pioneering Roomful of Blues—has spent more than five decades shaping the sound of blues, swing, jazz, and R&B.
Known for his dazzling guitar work, rich vocals, and deep command of vintage American styles, Robillard brings the joyful drive of jump blues together with sophisticated swing and soul-drenched R&B. A four-time Blues Music Award winner for Best Blues Guitarist and Grammy-nominated recording artist, he has performed and recorded with an extraordinary list of icons, including Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Ruth Brown, Jay McShann, Pinetop Perkins, and Jimmy Witherspoon.
From his work with Roomful of Blues and The Fabulous Thunderbirds to his acclaimed solo career, Duke Robillard remains one of the most expressive and influential guitarists in roots music.
