We’re not even done with 2024, and we’re already thinking about 2025. Mark your calendars because the new year is kicking off with a bang: The Dub Experience 4 is happening on February 1st at Higher Ground Lisbon.
For true dub fans, we’ve prepared a lineup that will make the city vibrate, featuring special guests and a unique energy only this event can deliver.
The Lineup
Weeding Dub (France)
His music combines classic Reggae and Dub music with a contemporary edge. Heavy bass, reverb-drenched guitars, and echoing rhythms make up Weeding Dub's signature sound. His music has a strong Dub influence, features protracted intros and outros, and employs spacey effects to provide a mesmerizing mood.
With a focus on fostering a positive atmosphere and disseminating a message of love and harmony, Weeding Dub's music is very expressive. His songs frequently have inspirational lyrics that are spoken in a deep, sincere tone. Weeding Dub is renowned for his exciting and captivating live performances. He has performed at many festivals and events throughout Europe and has established a devoted following of supporters who value his distinctive music and inspiring message. Reggae and Dub music are truly represented by Weeding Dub, whose contributions to the genre have kept it relevant and prospering in the contemporary music world.
Oficina do Ras (Live Dub)
The solo project of Ras M, an Angolan Reggae Roots producer deeply influenced by the vibrant rhythms of Cape Verde and the Virgin Islands. A talented multi-instrumentalist, Ras M will bring his original productions to life on stage, delivering an authentic and soulful connection to the music.
BertiRoots
BertiRoots is a Portuguese dub and reggae artist and radio host from Coimbra. Known for his soulful melodica playing and conscious selections, he has performed at various sessions and festivals internationally. His radio show, Espaço Zion, promotes reggae and dub culture.
Mystic Fyah Sound System
Hailing from Lisbon, Mystic Fyah has been spreading the infectious rhythms of reggae and dub since 2007. Known for their powerful sound system, they seamlessly blend the timeless essence of dub with modern electronic elements in their original productions. For Dub Experience 4, Mystic Fyah will not only close the party but also power the entire session with their signature sound, ensuring the vibes and energy hit their absolute peak!
