Date: Sat 1st August 2026Meeting Time: 8.30am in Aveton Gifford Car Park
Do the double iconic swim...the Bantham Swoosh into An Around Burgh Island, starting in Aveton Gifford and ending in Bigbury. This swim is 8.5km long, and takes in some of Devon's best scenery. We provide a gel pouch for each swimmer half way to keep energy levels up.
PRE REQUISITS: You must be able to swim 1km in a pool in 30 minutes or less (40 lengths of a standard pool) If you are not sure your swim time, you need to find this out before booking. You must be comfortable swimming around 5km. This swim is long, and tiring. If all swimmers in the group meet the 30 minute cut off, then the swim will take between 2.5-3 hours.
You will be contacted a few weeks before your swim with details about the swim, and then again within 48h to confirm the swim, and give any details about weather etc.
To purchase this swim for multiple people, please add multiple to your basket, and multiple names in to the boxes.
REFUND POLICY:-
-If we need to cancel, we offer a full refund, or free transfer to another date
-If you cancel 30 days before your swim we offer a full refund minus 10% admin fee per booking.
-If you cancel 14 days before your swim we offer a 50% refund
-If you cancel less than 14 days before your swim there is no refund
KIT TO BRING
- Towfloat (mandatory, can be hired for £3pp) a drink in tow float if you'd like
- Wetsuit or swimsuit
- Goggles, earplugs, gloves, booties etc
- Hat (Provided)
- Car parking money
- Post swim warm clothes
- Post swim food and drink (snack and hot drink are provided)
