For the heads, for our friends, we bring you a jam featuring the founders of Midnight Project, Prezzy and Lex, who will be playing b2b, bringing a blend of House, UKG, Breaks and Techno- and anything else that’s gonna make the place pop off. Ænniæ will close the night with a bass heavy techno set, we can’t wait to have her back down to the club after she closed last years Wonderment Festival weekend. Primitive will start the night with a 2 hour opening set starting of slow, glitchy and funky, and working up to proper 4/4 house rhythms.

Hailing from B.C.’s Sunshine Coast and now based out of Victoria, Prezzy brings unmatched energy to his sets. Coming up in Victoria’s scene, he has made his passion for dance music tangible to crowds through sets that range in style from dark UK garage to bass-heavy breaks and fast, groovy techno. Known for his unplanned, open-format approach, he’s honed his crowd-reading instincts through hundreds of gigs in clubs, bars, and after hours venues. He shapes the crowds he plays to in real time. Prezzy has brought his unique style to stages like Capital Ballroom, Vantek, and Fortune Sound Club, continuing to make his mark across B.C.’s underground.

Aside from DJing, Prezzy is the co-founder and creative director of Midnight Project, a Victoria-based promotions company and artist collective dedicated to revitalizing Western Canada’s dance music scene. Through events in unique venues and highly curated production elements, he and the team are helping shape the next wave of the region’s underground movement.

Lex is a Vancouver based DJ and producer, and a member of the Midnight Project Collective. With a passion for dance music born out of B.C.’s rich festival scene, Lex brings sounds of Garage, House, Club and all things dance.

Pushing the DJ and rave lifestyle in the Pacific Northwest since 2000, supporting the community by creating a slew of residencies, coordinating gigs for other DJs, promoting shows and developing the culture through platforms like Party People Sound Solutions, Primitive Hustle, Footwork Entertainment and PK Sound Victoria. He is currently the Music Director for The Downbeat. Creating connections and allies, trailing a wake of inspired revellers hungry for more. Primitive’s art and output has been strengthened through many collaborations. Never one to be limited by genre, Primitive’s sound connects the dots between Techno, House, Breaks and Acid, while also dabbling in offshoots of Drum and Bass including Footwork, Juke, Half Time, and Jungle. A DJ’s DJ that can burn down any dance, Primitive sets are system flexing- think big psychedelic festival set crossed with sweaty late night house party and be ready to get all the way down.
