The Discipleship Project 2024-25 Core Module is now available for people to book on to attend. It is free.The Discipleship Project invites people to discover what God may be calling them to, both within the church and in the wider world. It helps participants to explore what it means for the whole people of God to be engaged in God’s mission within the world. This training is built upon our common baptismal commission, and our understanding that every member of the church has gifts and skills to be used for the work of the kingdom. The course will:
Build confidence in a self-understanding of personal giftings for ministry
Support the journey of radical discipleship
Find new prophetic spaces for the church to be at work.
Open-up new ministry possibilities
In 2024-25 the core module will be delivered simultaneously in Ambleside Parish Centre, and Cornerstone Café, Carlisle, where it will be facilitated by Revd Simon Bickersteth. The dates and times for the sessions are:
Session 1 – Know who you are!
Monday 23rd September 2024, 7pm-9pm
Session 2 – Know how we Learn
Monday 21st October 2024, 7pm-9pm
Session 3 – Know your Spiritual Resources
Monday 25th November 2024, 7pm-9pm
Session 4 – Know Jesus’ Discipling “System”
Monday 16th December 2024, 7pm-9pm
Session 5 – Know your Team + Trade & Tools
Monday 27th January 2025, 7pm-9pm
Session 6 – Know how to “Fish”
Monday 24th February 2025, 7pm-9pm
