Ready for one final sporting challenge of the Lido season?
The Devils Aquathlon & Swim Challenge returns for 2026, bringing together swimmers and runners for a morning of personal challenges, incredible atmosphere and fundraising at Cheltenham Lido.
Open to anyone aged 18+, you can choose to tackle the iconic Devils Aquathlon or take on one, of three swim-only distances.
😈 THE DEVILS AQUATHLON
Swim at Cheltenham Lido before heading out on a 10km run to the Devil's Chimney at the top of Leckhampton Hill and back to the Lido.
Choose your challenge:
Standard Distance
🏊 1km swim - 20 lengths
🏃 10km run
⏰ Provisional start: 7.45am
Long Distance
🏊 2km swim - 40 lengths
🏃 10km run
⏰ Provisional start: 7.30am
The Devils Aquathlon is a British Triathlon affiliated event. All Aquathlon participants must hold the appropriate British Triathlon membership or purchase a single-use Race Pass. Race Passes cost £2 for under 24s and £8 for those aged 24+.

Prefer to stay in the water? Our Swim Challenge is ideal for first-timers looking to set themselves a goal as well as seasoned swimmers searching for their next challenge.
Choose from:
5km - 100 lengths | Provisional start 8.30am
2km - 40 lengths | Provisional start 10.00am
1km - 20 lengths | Provisional start 10.30am
⚠️ All start times are provisional and may change depending on entry numbers. Final start times will be confirmed one week before the event.
The event raises vital funds for Cheltenham Lido, with Aquathlon participants also having the opportunity to fundraise for Cobalt.
📅 Entries close Monday 28 September at midnight.
