The Bennington Garden Club is pleased to host Julie Moir Messervy, who will give a presentation open to the public on Saturday March 29th at 2:00pm at the Manchester Community Library. She is the founder and principal designer of Julie Moir Messervy Design Studio, JMMDS. With over three decades of experience, nine books, and numerous high-profile lectures. She is an innovative leader in landscape and garden design theory and practice. Messervy was the landscape designer of the award-winning Toronto Music Garden, a collaboration with renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma and the City of Toronto, to create a three-acre public park based on the “First Suite for Unaccompanied Cello” by J.S. Bach. In 2005, the Toronto Music Garden received a Leonardo Da Vinci Award for innovation and creativity.Messervy will present her popular lecture, The Designer's Way, sharing the principles and methods by which she works to envision, design and build personal and private landscapes that are resilient and resonate with joy. Although her design studio is in Brattleboro, VT, Messervy is often traveling throughout the country and abroad. Don't miss this rare local appearance.
