Join for a free photowalk during the in downtown Durham, North Carolina, on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
Led by photographers & , the walk will begin outside the Durham Convention Center, home of the Click! Festival EXPO, before heading out to explore downtown Durham together.
The Darkroom has hosted photowalks in cities across the country, bringing together hundreds of photographers at events of all sizes. This will be our first photowalk in North Carolina, and we’re excited to meet the local photography community and explore Durham with everyone.
Photowalks are some of our favorite events to host because they give us the opportunity to meet photographers from across the film community, make new friends, talk about cameras, and spend a few hours creating together. We expect a great turnout, so be sure to RSVP, arrive early, and allow yourself additional time to find parking.
In addition to The Darkroom team, representatives from Freestyle Photo, CineStill, Click! Photography Festival, Negative Supply, and more will be in attendance. It will be a great opportunity to meet people from throughout the photography industry, ask questions, talk gear, and connect with other members of the community.
And this isn’t your average photowalk. Beyond making photographs, we’ll also be hosting a raffle for film development, scanning, and printing, along with a live demonstration showing how the entire process comes together. Plan to stay a little longer after the walk—the fun doesn’t stop when we return!
Whether you are brand new to photography or have been shooting for years, everyone is welcome. Bring your favorite film camera, digital camera, instant camera, or whatever inspires you to make photographs. The walk will move at a relaxed pace, with plenty of opportunities to stop, shoot, talk gear, and connect with other photographers.
This event is completely free. Just bring a camera, comfortable walking shoes, and your enthusiasm for photography.

We’ll gather outside the Durham Convention Center at 10:00 a.m. before beginning the walk through downtown Durham.
