And we are back!!! We are incredibly excited to welcome you into a continued exploration of Authentic Relating meets Contact Beyond Contact dance. Let’s support each other to begin a fresh new cycle of empowered relationships in this new year! Whether you attended our last workshop or are ready to explore this practice for the first time, we cannot wait to share with you the magic of this powerful container! It is unique from any we have seen or experienced before.
Many of our community dance contexts are nonverbal spaces. This allows for rich, somatic-based connection different from our everyday more cognitive-based realities. However, without the opportunity to use our words, some of our needs, feelings and desires may be suppressed. For many of us, this suppression is nothing new. “Same story, different context.” This begs the question: How much more safety & intimacy might we be capable of experiencing? Both on the dance floor and in life?
Let’s find out! As we intentionally blend Authentic Relating (AR) partner and group practices with guided contact beyond contact dance (CBC), we will cocreate a context that empowers us to be more real with each other and true to ourselves. As we gather valuable insight from this journey, we will explore how we can take it into all of our relationships in this new year.
“The Dance of Relating was a breakthrough experience for me. I got to use my voice to speak my needs, desires, and feedback to the person(s) I was dancing with in a way that further empowered me to maintain a healthy connection to my body, heart, and mind. Matthew and Violet encouraged open communication around how a dance connection was feeling for all parties. At first, this felt vulnerable, but it ultimately led to deeper feelings of safety and intimacy. It was one of my favorite and cherished dance experiences to date.” -Tink

Do YOU want to experience more depth in connection?
Do you desire to cultivate a greater sense of safety to be just as you are in the moment?
Do you crave to feel more fully expressed, and feel truly seen and understood?
In essence: do you want to free your authentic self?
If you’re nodding your head, come join us as we dive deep into embodied relating. The exercises are consciously designed to equip you with more agency in your dances, and in your relationships–here, and in life. As we empower ourselves and each other in this way, we create a greater felt sense of safety and consequently—aliveness. Over the course of the workshop, we’ll follow the current of the present moment together into the mystical unknown. Along the way, we’ll uncover parts of us that normally get left behind or can’t wait to finally express themselves. In this tender, joyous and liberating process, we reclaim our wholeness, together.
