Protecting Australia's water landscapes has always been a high priority for Aboriginal people, and protecting water remains a cultural obligation. Water connects people to Country, and carries songs, dances, and language through the generations.
This connection and understanding of climate are no different. Observations, adaptation, and lived experience put First Peoples of Australia in a place to provide solutions for modern issues such as climate change.
In this open lecture, Prof. Bradley Moggridge FRSN FTSE will discuss his work toward solutions combining his ancestral Traditional Knowledge with his qualifications in Western science for water and climate.
Entry is $20 for members, $30 for non-members, and free for students. Registration closes Tuesday, August 5 at 2pm. A cash bar will be available from 5:30pm.
