Auditions for Lebowsky’s April production of the fast-paced British farce “The Cottage” will be March 3 and 4 at the Lebowsky Center. Doors open at 6:30, with auditions beginning at 7pm. Rehearsals will begin Wednesday, March 12. Show dates are April 25-27 and May 2-4.
Set in the English countryside in 1923, “The Cottage” by Sandy Rustin, revolves around romantic entanglements, betrayal, unexpected arrivals, and absurdly intertwined affairs, all taking place in a charming but secluded cottage. A hilarious web of secrets unravels in this ridiculously funny and romantic comedy, which was recently on Broadway.
This show will be directed by Sabrina Dahlgren, a Michigan-based professional stage actor and vocalist who has appeared in Lebowsky productions of Head Over Heels (Gynecia); and Anything Goes (Erma), as well as a handful of Holiday at Lebowsky performances.
Her most recent regional credits include Godspell (in a pool!) at Flint Repertory Theatre, Into the Woods and Little Shop of Horrors at Encore Musical Theatre Company, and Rent at The Dio.
“I am excited to bring my experience, knowledge, and love of theatre to the stage in a new and exciting way,” Sabrina said. “I am looking for actors with fantastic comedic timing and the ability to improv and have fun!”
