Thank you for showing interest in THE COOKOUT FILM A.K.A Glass & Steel. This is a MFA DePaul Thesus Film about the first day that 2 people met and is being shot as the pilot episode to the series. To learn more about the story, click here.

By rsvping to this event, you agree to be seen on camera as a background extra and will sign the general release form on the day of for us to be able to film you. This doesn't have any corporate sponsors attached and is used strictly for film festivals.

You will also be asked to wear some of your clothes on the day of set. It is important to show up 15 minutes before 11am to ensure you are ready to go for wardrobe and design. Lastly, you will receive email communication from our 2nd Assistant Director, Mia Willis, on day-of instructions, color/group assignments and more.

Compensation??? You get to be featured in a short film and meet other black adults on the Southside and in Chicagoland. Also, you'll have a full cookut experience with a soul food menu featuring mac & cheese, fried chicken, yams, and more.
