The Commonwealth Universities' Debating Championship (CUDC2026)

The Championship will be conducted primarily through in-person debate sessions, with all preliminary rounds hosted on the premises of one of the partner universities in Rwanda. This setting will provide an engaging academic environment that fosters intellectual exchange and competitive debate among participating institutions.

The Opening Ceremony and Grand Finale, however, will be organized at a prestigious venue either the Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village (KCEV) or a selected partner hotel to provide a high-profile platform for celebrating debate excellence and youth leadership.

To broaden participation and visibility, both the Opening Ceremony and the Closing/Grand Finale sessions will be live streamed on YouTube and other social media platforms, enabling a wider audience including universities, partners, and the general public to follow and engage with the Championship.
