Set in the heart of historic Worcester lies a place called The Commandery, a Grade I listed timbered building most famous for being the Royalist headquarters during the Battle of Worcester which changed the tide of the English Civil War. Built on the site of an earlier medieval monastic hospital, The Commandery has been a residence throughout the Tudor and Georgian periods, and was even visited in 1786 by John Adams and Thomas Jefferson, the founding fathers and former Presidents of the United States. It later became a college for the blind and today it's a popular tourist attraction and museum. The Commandery is renowned for its ghost sightings and paranormal activity, with apparitions of Cavaliers seen throughout the building with their Armour clattering, a Monk roaming the Great Hall, doors opening and closing on their own and the disturbing cries of a weeping woman.Join us at one of our favorite locations , it never disappoints
