In this SEP Drama Mainstage Series production, Shakespeare weaves a hilarious tale of mistaken identity when two sets of identical twins, separated at birth, unknowingly find themsleves in the bustling city of Ephesus. Antipholus of Syracuse and his servant Dromio arrive and are constantly mistaken for their Ephesian counterparts. A series of chaotic misunderstandings ensues, involving wrongful arrests, misplaced love, and even accusations of sorcery. The confusion builds to a climax until the truth is revealed in a joyful reunion of the twins and their long-lost parents. This fast-paced comedy encourages us all to think about our own identity, the importance of family, and the absurdity of human misunderstandings.
