About this Event
Students from all four years and alumni of the BA (Hons) Performance course bring this anarchic Shakespeare comedy classic to life - set in 1980’s Miami. Expect twins, Hawaiian shirts, Gloria Estevan and an exorcism. Tickets are free.
This performance marks the continued revival of Dog Ate Cake, a theatre company ( created in 2006 by Henry Bell and the actor David Oakes) dedicated to 'exploding' historic comedy texts in ridiculous ways.
BA Performance students have been working outside of their course with UWS Senior Lecturers Henry Bell (Co-Director) and Catriona Fallow (Co-Director & Producer) as well as final year students Kat O’Hare, Jo Hampson and Grant Leech (Associate Directors) to stage Shakespeare’s silliest and most ridiculous play. The production features new scenes written by Benjamin Angus McWhirter.
