The Color Theory Workshop: Color Theory in Everyday Life
Advertisement
The science and art of color is all around us, so it’s a good idea to know how to use it! Using hands-on exercises with paper and paint, we will explore color relationships based on the foundational work of Josef Albers’ Interaction of Color. Then we’ll move on to the beautiful materials library here at Piano Nobile to play with tile, wallpaper, wood, and other materials. Through observation and experimentation we will become familiar with the amazing properties and principles of color.
No prior experience is necessary. Skills include: color mixing, collage. Each student will go home with a one of a kind collage, colorful sketchbook, and color cards. Snacks and beverages will be provided.
