Join us for an inspiring Topic Night hosted by the Cruising Section, as we welcome Ella Nieper - Clipper Race Alumni and member of the Recruitment Team - for a fascinating insight into the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race.Designed for adventurers and ocean-curious sailors alike, this Discovery Talk explores what it takes to join one of the world’s greatest endurance challenges. With no prior sailing experience required to participate in the race, Ella will guide you through the selection process, training, global route, fleet, stopovers, and crew life - sharing firsthand stories from her own three-leg journey on Our Isles and Oceans.
Whether you’re dreaming of a once-in-a-lifetime adventure or simply keen to learn more about this extraordinary race, you’ll leave either inspired… or a little scared, but certainly not bored.

About the presenter
Ella Nieper is a second-generation Clipper sailor, following in the footsteps of her uncle who circumnavigated in 1996. Formerly a business analyst seeking a bold new challenge, Ella completed three legs of the 2023–24 race before joining the Clipper Recruitment Team.
