When: The Total Lunar Eclipse Full Moon on Friday, March 14th, 2025 EST at Mythic Treasures in Henrietta, NY. This is a free event and all who want to bring change to our society are welcome. Eclipses are rare astrological times of change which harbors evolution (and revolution). Lunar Eclipses are times of drastic purging of energies that are damaging or unhealthy, and it also rips off any illusions that we may view within those energies. Intention: To enforce resistance and protection to the people of the United States during this tumultuous, illegal takeover of our government by the wealthiest person on the planet, as well as the extremist far-right leaders who are enabling this destruction of our democracy. This spell is to protect all Americans, but especially those who have been targeted by these people in power, namely anyone of difference. Those people of minorities, LGBTQ, women, and any disabilities are especially in the cross-hairs of this administration, and they need to be defended and shielded from the daily actions of those in power.
Focus: We will be calling upon all Ancestors of our own families, these lands, as well as Lady Liberty for the strength to resist and stand firm in ourselves individually, as well as communally. The Ancestors can be of any walk of life, time period, or race, but we will specifically cast our circle with Ancestors who have fought for our freedoms in this country. This can be from our current time back to the Revolutionary War. You are welcome to bring any items of your Ancestors, or simply their names, for we will literally be writing them into our Circle of Resistance. You are also encouraged to bring the image of Lady Liberty and the Statue of Liberty, for she will be our beacon of hope during these dark times, with her torch, as well as the words of inspiration that are at her feet.
"The Statue of Liberty Enlightening the World" was a gift of friendship from the people of France to the United States and is recognized as a universal symbol of freedom and democracy. The Statue of Liberty was dedicated on October 28, 1886. The Statue of Liberty calls everyone who seeks liberty and freedom to her:
"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
