Ball to pełne emocji wydarzenie performatywne, gdzie osoby uczestniczące rywalizują o trofea w wybranych kategoriach. W rytmach vogue, techno i house przeniesiemy się w czasie, odtwarzając ikoniczne stylizacje królowych srebrnego ekranu.

Ballroom narodził się w latach 60. i 70. ** wieku jako bezpieczna przestrzeń stworzona przez Afroamerykańskie i Latynoskie kobiety trans dla społeczności trans, queer i BIPOC. Voguing, jeden z kluczowych elementów tej kultury, rozkwitł w latach 80. jako część ballroomowych rywalizacji. Dziś to globalny fenomen celebrujący indywidualność i ekspresję!

The Cinematic Queens Ball is a part of the 16. LGBT+ Film Festival's Artistic Scene.
Get ready for an evening full of glitter, excitement, and queer cinematic magic! Before our very eyes, iconic movie characters will come to life, and the line between fantasy and reality will simply... cease to exist! It's a tribute to the bold, inspiring, and unforgettable icons that have made their mark on the history of queer cinema.

The Ball is an emotional, performative event where participants compete for trophies in selected categories. To the rhythms of vogue, techno, and house, we'll travel through time, recreating iconic looks of the queens of the silver screen.
We encourage everyone to dress up in accordance with the theme of the event - the more spectacular, the better!
✨ Ballroom culture ✨
Ballroom was born in the 1960s and 70s as a safe space created by African American and Latinx trans women for the trans, queer, and BIPOC community. Voguing, one of the key elements of this culture, flourished in the 80s as part of ballroom competitions. Today, it's a global phenomenon celebrating individuality and expression!

👑Elektra (Pose) - Queen of the ball and style icon, known for her dramatic, often baroque creations, full of splendor and glamor. Her costumes often reflect her status and power.
👑Hedwig Robinson (Hedwig and the Angry Inch) - a charismatic rock singer in glittering costumes with military accents and feathers.
👑Bernadette, Mitzi, and Felicia (Priscilla, Queen of the Desert) - three drag queens traveling across Australia in extravagant, colorful costumes.

👑Brian Slade (Velvet Goldmine) - a 70s rock star, inspired by David Bowie, in stage jumpsuits full of sequins and feathers.
👑Petra von Kant (The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant) - an elegant fashion designer in minimalist stylizations.
👑Diva Plavalaguna (The Fifth Element) - a cosmic opera singer in a futuristic costume designed by Jean-Paul Gaultier.
👑Rudy Rhod (The Fifth Element) - an extravagant showman, master of chaos and style, always in flashy patterns and bold hairstyles!
